Think of your traditional wedding. Now, I bet you aren’t picturing an art gallery with swanky lounge furniture, fur throws, an ice bar, a dessert display, and a gnocchi station, are you? As true Minnesotans, we know best how to deal with the long {and cold} winters, so why not embrace the season and have some fun with it at your wedding. This past winter, our rock star weddings team had a blast designing and coordinating a wedding at the one and only Chambers Hotel located in downtown Minneapolis. The many unexpected touches made the reception feel more like a sexy, upscale soiree than a Minnesota wedding.
Wedding guests started out surrounded by beautiful art in the Chambers’ Burnett Gallery for cocktail hour where they enjoyed live jazz, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and wines from the couple’s private cellar. Guests couldn’t keep their eyes off of the stunning cake designed by our friends at Gateaux, Inc. Many guests wrapped themselves up in warm {and, of course, stylish} fur throws and headed out to the hotel’s ice bar where they enjoyed a cocktail by the fire in good company.
Guests later moved up to the Hotel’s Rooftop Lounge and Balcony. Surrounded by the city’s killer views, tasty treats from the Gateaux dessert bar, and a DJ, the guests danced the night away with the newly married couple! Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
