Rehearsal Dinner Faves
Here at Style-Architects Weddings + Events, we understand how stressful planning a wedding can be, so when the rehearsal dinner planning also falls on you, it can all be too much for any couple. Searching for the perfect location for your dinner can be time consuming and overwhelming. To help ease a bit of your stress, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite local venues to cater to your unique {food and decor} tastes!
Cafe Lurcat
We love Cafe Lurcat for its urban vibes mixed with old world style. The ambiance is romantic and any foodie knows the Chilean sea bass marinated in miso is amazing!
Stella’s Fish Cafe
Stella’s is the perfect location for seafood loving couples, but they also serve steaks, ribs and pasta. Start with cocktails and a seafood bar on the SkyDeck, which offers gorgeous views of uptown and downtown, and then head to the 3rd Floor Mezzanine Lounge for dinner. The Lounge is warming and inviting with high ceilings and plenty of natural light.
Libertine - The Black Box
Libertine offers an extremely unique private dining experience. Their event space is called “The Black Box” and can be transformed in any way you wish. The slate blackboard walls provide endless decor options. Be sure to offer the charcuterie platter to your guests - the best {in our opinion} the Twin Cities has to offer!
Orchestra Hall - Target Atrium
The Target Atrium offers great views of the Minneapolis skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows and doors which open up onto the outdoor patio. In the fall and winter, a cozy fireplace warms the space. The space is a blank slate to decorate as you wish and being able to use outside caterers is a nice perk! {Pool tables and wooden high tops not included but certainly a fun idea!}
Surly Brewing Co.
Surly Brewery Co. is one of our favorites for the obvious reason - it’s a brewery! This is a great place for a couple who wants a lively dinner. The private room is located above the busy main dining room with a balcony and floor to ceiling windows which overlook the brewing room and the vats. Brewery tours and presentations are also available for a fun after-dinner activity.
Meridien Chambers Hotel - Rooftop Lounge and Balcony
The Meridien Chambers Hotel is a unique spot in downtown Minneapolis with so many great spaces, but our favorite is the Rooftop Lounge and Balcony. The stunning fixtures above the bar and lounge furniture {which is included in the rental} makes this a neutral and sexy spot for your rehearsal dinner. The ultra-modern hotel, which houses Ralph Burnet’s private artwork collection, is a definite diversion from the typical Minneapolis hotel.
The Bachelor Farmer
We have to show a little neighborly love to The Bachelor Farmer! Their beautiful and inspiring decor {and of course the food}, helped this restaurant quickly become one of our favorites for rehearsal dinners. The second floor is made up of several different rooms which can be utilized differently based on the size of your group.
Brit’s Pub
Brit’s Pub is known for their amazing fish and chips and lawn bowling, which can serve as a great, interactive after-dinner activity for your guests. The lanes can be rented out, as well as several patio areas and indoor rooms for the dinner.
We hope these recommendations get you started in planning your rehearsal dinner. Consider the look and feel you want for your rehearsal dinner and the rest will follow. Want some help? We plan rehearsal dinners {in addition to weddings}! Just visit our page here to contact us!
