SA Weddings + Events Under New Ownership!
With the rush of the 2016 wedding season, we’ve been keeping an exciting secret! As many of you know, Style-Architects Weddings + Events has always been a division of Style-Architects, a content creation house. We have been operating under our own website and social media channels for some time and have been at the helm of directing events. After a wonderful five years with Style-Architects, we’re all grown up and are ready to venture out on our own, outside the wonderful SA umbrella. As such, Rachelle Mazumdar, former director - events at Style-Architects, is now the new owner of Style-Architects Weddings + Events. Exciting service changes are in store and we look forward to reaching out to an even wider base of vendors so, if we don’t currently work together, please reach out and get to know us!

Did you hear the good news? We are excited to share with you all that our talented weddings team has been named Diamond Award winner for best Wedding Design + Planning by Minneapolis/St. Paul Weddings Magazine! Not only did we win the people’s choice award, {and a very special thank you to all of you lovelies who voted, you’re the best!} but our work was also submitted to an out-of-state panel of independent judges, who also named us the “judges choice” winner for best Wedding Design + Planning.
Congrats to all of the other fabulous finalists + winners and an extra special thank you to MSP Weddings Magazine for hosting such a fabulous awards ceremony at the one and only Walker Art Center!

This March, we were given the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the one and only Lavender Magazine on their 2013 Spring Wedding Issue.

Not only were we lucky enough to produce and style the entire shoot, but we were also blessed to work with amazing vendors at some of our favorite Twin Cities’ venues, The Bachelor Farmer and St. Paul’s Union Depot!
Our stylists couldn’t have spruced-up our {already} gorgeous models without help from our favorite beauty and fashion gurus: Roe Wolfe, Realia by Jen, Juut Salon and Spa, l’atelier couture bridal,Pumpz & Co.,Heimie’s Haberdashery, Hammermade, Askov Finlayson, Monique Lhuillier, and MartinPatrick3.
With tasty sweets from Gateaux, Inc., furniture and décor from On Solid Ground Vintage Rentals, Aprés Party and Tent Rental, and BeEvents, eye-catching florals from the talented Martha’s Gardens and pretty paper materials from Saima Says Design and Beau Papier by Gateaux, our events squad had the best products to use for those dazzling detail shots!

The Couple That Grows Together, Stays Together
Garden themed bridal shower and gift-giving ideas
We teamed up with Chris Plantan, the creative mastermind behind one of our favorite brands, Russell + Hazel, to come up with bridal shower and gift-giving ideas. We agreed that building your bridal shower event around the beauty of growing and tending to plants is so fitting. It is best for a new couple to start a small garden, whether in a backyard, co-op garden community or on an outdoor patio. This is a time-honored labor of love that brings us all closer together. Caring for living things is a lovely way to nurture a relationship. To add to the garden party theme, we suggest a group gift with individual touches. Put together select pieces that make the gift fun, but be sure to include those that are practical. A few ideas...
- Start with something that is fanciful {the anchor piece} and then add some of the basics around it. One suggestion: The Russell + Hazel Herbarium Set
- Ask each guest to bring either a bag of bulbs or some seed packets of their favorite flowers or vegetables for that personal touch.
- Add some necessary garden tools like twine, trowels, watering cans, etc.
- Include a graph paper notebook for planning and keeping seed packets.
- Include a cookbook that is based on vegetables and herbs that can be grown in a small garden.
- Consider packaging everything in a woven basket.
